We're so pleased to hear from our friends at The House of Joy in Romania which in recent weeks has turned over a recently built dormitory to house 140 refugees from war-torn neighboring Ukraine. Your generous donations have helped feed, clothe, and provide the basic necessities to establish themselves temporarily in a new country and to set up a new life.

They write "Thank you so much for such amazing generosity that you and your friends and ministry partners have shown us." They've recorded this great little thank-you video as a message to all the good people of Trinity - you can watch below:

Thank you to everyone who has given so generously so far; our appeal remains open for you to give here:

Resuming In-Person Worship!

Trinity-Episcopal-New-Services.png

Dear Trinity Family!

I’m so excited as I write to you… I can hardly wait to "open the church” on September 12th. We will come together in one service at 10:30 a.m. to worship inside in our sacred space! It’s been 18 months since many of you have been in the church for a worship service and I have yet to celebrate a full service in the church so yes! - I’m beaming with joy and counting the days! I would like to encourage each of you to attend as it’s going to be an exciting day at Trinity and a great opportunity to bring a friend. Here is what you can expect:

· We will have an Easter like service with a full liturgy, including music (full choir and brass quartet) at 10:30 a.m. in the church. I know that some of you may be a little nervous moving back inside, but rest assured we will have an option for everyone. For those who feel more comfortable worshiping outside we will open the doors of the church so that folks can fully participate in the courtyard (speaker outside so everyone can hear).

· After the service we will have a coffee hour like no other. I’m encouraging everyone to bring something to share as we gather in the courtyard for fellowship.

· In addition, we will have our Ministry Fair in the courtyard highlighting the many wonderful opportunities to get involved at Trinity this year. I ask you to begin praying now about your important role in the joy of serving in one of these ministries… We all have a part to play in making Trinity a wonderful place.

· FOR THE KIDS. The Vogels have generously offered to provide a bounce house for the day, so get ready to have some fun!

Grace and Peace to you as we come to God with Open Hands – ready to give and ready to receive.

Masks are advised and preferred indoors. We will continue to review practices each week according to both the Diocese and CDC guidelines.

IN ADDITION!!! Many of you have been asking about Confirmation. We will tie the four week class into the Wednesday programing. We will meet each Wednesday @ 5pm starting on July 21. These classes will last an hour and then the students can go and have some fun with Alex. I know the summers are busy so if your student needs to miss one just let me know and I will make it up with them one on one. The Bishop is scheduled to come on September 18th at 10:30am. If this date doesn’t work don’t worry we will provide a time for your students to be confirmed.

Spread the word it’s going to be a great summer!

If you missed last week you missed a wonderful opportunity to meet in the church and two God’s children were baptized. It was a great and exciting Sunday. We will resume our weekly schedule this week with an indoor option at 8am and a garden service at 10. Please mark your calendar for Sunday, September 12th for our annual kick off and outreach fair. We will start the year back in the church at 10:30 with a full choir, service and coffee hour that will make memories. Good days are ahead!!!

Grace and Peace to you All!

New Music Director - Dan Miller

Dan Miller, our wonderful organist, who was hired just as I came to Trinity, has asked if he could be considered for the position of Director of Music. We have had several conversations over the past four months and we agreed to talk more in detail after Easter. Last week I met with Dan and shared with him all the wonderful emails, notes, and phone calls I have received regarding his service to us the past four months as our interim… Easter being the icing on the cake! I couldn’t believe what he was able to accomplish in our outside and virtual service. I knew Dan was a musical genius with 40+ years of experience and many degrees to prove it. Dan holds a Bachelor of Music Education, a Masters in Church music (Organ Emphasis), and a Masters in Collaborative Piano. To say that he is qualified is an understatement and we are very blessed to have him. Dan, welcome to your new role as Director of Music and Organist!

I would encourage you all to reach out to him, welcome him to the staff and to our church family, and to support his ministry at Trinity. If you’d like to get to know him better, please enjoy this wonderful interview about his history and his experience with us.

Please Follow Guidelines for Attending In-Person Worship

In an effort to maintain a safe place of worship, please follow the guidelines below and call the church office to let us know you are planning on attending. The Bishop is very clear on the criteria to allow this gathering. Please dress casually and warm, we will have heaters spread throughout. Everyone MUST wear a mask, NO EXCEPTIONS.

  1. We will provide one way in and one way out of the worship space.

  2. We will have printed bulletins to hand out and ask that you take them home to read and dispose of them at home.

  3. We ask you to bring your own masks, hand sanitizers, chairs or blankets for worship services (we will have a few masks and a hand sanitizer station available)

  4. We MUST practice social distancing, please stay in your "worship pods".

  5. We encourage you to use the restrooms at home and only use the bathroom in Cox Hall for emergencies.

  6. We will not pass a plate during the service but we will provide a basket at the entrance and exit for your gifts and pledge offerings. You can also give easily touch-free online or via text.

  7. Finally we ask that you do not linger for fellowship and leave the church grounds immediately after the service.

We can make this work but we need everyone to do their part.

Please join us! We can’t wait to see you all!
